An icon passed away on Sept. 27, but his legacy will live on for generations to come. Webb Palmer, who for many years was the man behind the Alvirne farm and later the man who poured his heart and soul into the building of the Wilbur Palmer Career and Technical Education Center, died on Tuesday. He touched so many students’ lives for the better with his vision for the vocation center.
Although Webb retired quite a few years ago, he still remained active in the AHS community as one of the Alvirne trustees, and everyone will miss seeing him on his visits to the school, whether it was just to pop in or stop by for lunch at Checkers.
Rest in peace, Webb.
As of press time, information regarding funeral arrangements was not yet available.
