On May 22, St. Patrick School’s seventh grade class continued the tradition of hosting an annual patriotic program by creating a Memorial Day ceremony at the St. Patrick Church Parish Center. The service honored all veterans and active duty military members. While similar ceremonies have been held by the preceding seventh grade classes for the last 16 years, Lynne Stader, the seventh grade teacher and director of the event, believed this year to be extra special due to the incorporation of the school band, bagpiper (Sean Markey), and the presence of parent participants who are members of the Navy, Army, and Air Force. The class had been preparing for this ceremony since March, and were very pleased as they had one of the largest audiences to date.
