For several years the Hudson School District has offered an open house at the Early Learning Campus for the newest learners in the Hudson. The 2019 school year opened this Wednesday, but students were invited on Monday morning to meet their new teacher and explore the classroom.
This year the event was held starting at 9 a.m. where, in addition to meeting your teacher, about 30 community groups and public safety groups were there to help parents learn about other activities for their child.
Community groups included the Hudson Fire Department, the Champion Before and After School Program, the Hudson Lions doing eye screenings, the St. John Food Pantry, Scouts, the Rodgers Library, the Connect the Dots organization, the YMCA, the Boys and Girls Club, Haven, and the Hudson Police Department.
There was Kona frozen ice and face painting.
