Veterans and the sun showed up for the VFW celebration of our veterans at the Hudson Fish and Game Club on River Road on Saturday. More than 150 American heroes came for hot dogs and hamburgers, camaraderie and some fun in an event that the post has facilitated by the VFW Post 5791 for several years with the Hudson Fish and Game providing their facilities.
While veterans tried out their marksmanship on the inside range and enjoyed fresh frozen ice cream from a past State VFW Commander, Mark McCabe, and his company, Sub Zero, Alvirne JROTC cadets were on hand offering some outside games for the veteran family members.
