General Federation of Women’s Clubs New England Region Conference was held Sept. 30 through Oct. 2, at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick, R.I. Sixteen members of GFWC-NH attended the weekend event, led by GFWC-NH President and Hudson resident, Phyllis Appler. They joined members from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont and the host state of Rhode Island for a weekend of service, empowerment, networking and entertainment.
GFWC members are dedicated to volunteer community service, with more than 90,000 members in the United States and over one dozen countries.
Hudson has two GFWC Clubs, which join together for many shared projects and programs. The GFWC Hudson Community Club (www.gfwchcc.smscomp.net) will join forces with the GFWC Junior Woman’s Club to help with their 40th anniversary Junior Woman’s Craft Fair at Memorial School on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information visit www.gfwchudsonjuniors.club.
