Saturday was a beautiful day and Shadow Lake was the site of the annual fishing event sponsored by New Hampshire Last Cast Club. Kids under 12 years old were invited free of charge to bring a pole and fish. The caveat was that a parent or guardian must be with them at all times. There were prizes as all fishermen were registered and fish caught were weighed before being returned to the lake. The club had stocked 150 trout into the pond on Friday. Many different species of fish were being caught and a few turtles also. All donations from the event were donated to the “Friends of Benson Park.”
