Friday, the small white house on Charles Bancroft Highway was bursting at the seams as all three Litchfield schools joined together with the CHS Student Council collecting food donations for the 20th time. With families’ pickup trucks, the students went to each school and moved the donations to the food pantry. The process started in 1999 when the school opened.
Abigail Buxton provided numbers from each school and comments, “This year we collected a total of 2,433 non-perishable items. There was 519 collected at GMS, 740 at LMS and 1,174 collected at CHS. We would like the thank everyone who donated items and made this week so successful. We would also like to thank the administration at all three schools for their support in making this possible.”
