The New Hampshire Committee of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve recently presented its distinguished Seven Seals award to three longtime supporters of military reservists:  Jamie Santo, Sonny Tylus and Erin Daley.  The presentation was made at the Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce’s 27th Annual Dinner Meeting and Awards Ceremony held at the Atkinson Resort and Country Club.

Several years ago Jamie Santo was looking for a way for the Salem Chamber to support military service members and their families.  He decided to raise money for the New Hampshire National Guard Chaplain’s Emergency Relief Fund at the chamber’s annual Golf Classic.  James A. Santo is also the Salem Chamber’s 2015 William A. Brown Distinguished Businessperson of the Year Award winner.

George “Sonny” Tylus is the chamber’s 2015 Richard E. Landry Award, Volunteer of the Year recipient.  Like Santo, Tylus continued the support of the chaplain’s fund at the golf event for many years.

Erin Daley received the 2015 Chairman’s Award.  Daley has served on the Golf Classic committee for several years and was co-chair in 2015.

Over the years, the Greater Salem Golf Classic has raised several thousand dollars for the Chaplain’s Emergency Relief Fund with the help of NH ESGR volunteers.
