During a scheduled softball game on May 13, both Alvirne and Salem High School players dedicated their game to Robin Reilly Mosnicka who recently passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack at the age of 51.  Robin was a 1979 graduate from Alvirne High School and also taught in Salem for 28 years at both Mary Fisk and Lancaster Elementary Schools.

Those Salem players who were lucky enough to have had Mrs. Mosnicka as a teacher, surely shared some great memories and laughs.  Robin was especially remembered for her infectious smile and laughter and her ability to make any school subject an enjoyable experience, according to fellow teacher and friend, Meg Wallace.  “She was always happy, giving and uplifting – it was a joy to be around her.”

In memory of Mrs. Mosnicka, both teams wore pink accessories.  “Pink” was very special to Robin.

Robin leaves behind a husband, three children, many family members, friends, peers and students.  She touched thousands upon thousands of lives.
