Pelham’s Easter Egg Hunt Great Family Fun
by Doug Robinson
It took only a matter of minutes for the youngsters to collect the 5,000 plus Easter Eggs which had been scattered on the lawn in front of Pelham Library.
Three separate age groups, 0-4, 5 and 6, 7 and 8, lined up at the starting line, each eyeballing the eggs that lay ahead of them.
The annual event was sponsored by the efforts of the Pelham Recreation Department, and the Crossroads Church. Boy Scouts Troop 610, assisted as well.
While families relaxed eating ice cream and chocolate, the bounce houses were full of activity. All the chairs at the face painting tables were full as local artisans completed their designs on the cherry faces.
Others, enjoyed the family day playing soccer, throwing a Frisbee, or simply, walking hand in hand.
