Joining Together to Make St. John’s Thanksgiving Food Distribution Happen

Church members and Alvirne High School Leo Club students, as well as Hudson police officers and their families joined together to assist St. John’s Evangelist Food Pantry volunteers with the annual Thanksgiving food distribution.

A Thanksgiving dinner and all the fixings were distributed to those Hudson families in need.  More than 100 families were helped by the pantry, ensuring these Hudson residents, young and old, are able to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday with a good meal.

This year has shown an increase of those seeking assistance, and, without the donations from many organizations, the community-supported pantry would not be able to meet its needs.

About 40 volunteers gathered at the church at the Library Street on Nov. 18, to fill the clients’ automobiles with food boxes, turkeys, and desserts.  If you would like to help, you can call 882-2462, ext 6, or donations can be sent to St. John XXIII Parish Food Pantry at 121 Allds St., Nashua NH 03060.
