Hudson Fire Lt. Kearns Retires After 31 Years

Wednesday, July 27 was the last shift Lieutenant Tim Kearns worked before he officially retired on July 31, after 31 years of service to the Hudson Fire Department. Through his career, Tim was the primary person for the maintenance of the town’s municipal fire alarm system. He also designed the department’s dispatch system and brought the dispatch center into modern times. He was the first EMT-I and then paramedic to work for the department. His dedication, knowledge and work within EMS has helped bring the medical service Hudson provides to the forefront.
Throughout his career he received awards for actions taken in the line of duty: 1996 Life Saver Award, 1998 Union Award, 1999 Unit Citation, 2000 Unit Citation, 2000 Chiefs Award, 2002 Chiefs Award, 2003 State Unit Citation, 2004 Unit Citation, 2005 State Rescue Class 3 Award, 2005 State Unit Citation.
