Many gathered at the Historic Old Town Hall last Saturday, September 21 to celebrate not only the start of Salemfest also the building’s 275th anniversary.  State Senator Chuck Morse, Board of Selectmen Chair Everett McBride, Selectman Stephan Campbell, and John Sytek from the House of Representatives were all in attendance.  Built in 1738, the building has gone through many transformations being used as everything from a meetinghouse and school to a courthouse.  In 1981, it was converted into a museum.  The kind people of the Historical Society ask if you have any old artifacts that you would like to donate to bring them down.  The Historical Society meets every second Tuesday.
