Drug Abuse Data is Disappointing in Hudson

October 20, 2017

Police Chief Jason Lavoie shared data Tuesday of this week about drug misuse in Hudson.  The 2017 numbers are year to date, and so are especially alarming when considering there are more than 60 days left in the year.

The chief mentioned that every community member needs to encourage people to get help if they have a drug problem.  If they don’t know where to go, they can reach out to Hudson Police (886-6011) who will provide some advice and direction.

Chief Lavoie and his department hope every day that this pervasive problem gets better.  Sadly, it hasn’t yet.  Lavoie reported that one of the overdose deaths was due to huffing, which asks that question, are we doing enough?
