On Thursday, Dec.  4, the Campbell High School Auditorium was jam packed with people eager to see the annual winter concert, which has been a tradition in Litchfield since the school opened in 2000.

“I’ve been here since the beginning and watched the program grow from our first band which had just five students and our first choir which had 27,” said Band Director Phil Martin.  The almost two-hour-long performance was an electrifying way for attendees to kick off the winter season and included not only high school musicians but some middle schoolers as well.

A little bit of everything was performed that night from the Flute Ensemble, Choir and Concert Band to the CHS Jazz Combo band.  Martin showed his confidence in his students by simply saying, “It’s a great group, they’re a lot of fun, and they’re ready to go!”
