Campbell Welcomes 20 NHS Members

Campbell High School’s Passaconaway Chapter of the National Honor Society held an induction ceremony for 20 students last Friday, Nov. 8, in the Phillip K. Martin Auditorium. Inductees were escorted into the auditorium by current members of the National Honor Society. Welcoming remarks were given by Raheem Chowdhury, Campbell’s NHS adviser; Catriona Chew sang the national anthem. Guest speaker Patrick Keefe remarked about life’s lessons that he received from his parents.
Members of the National Honor Society are juniors and seniors who uphold the four pillars of the organization: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. The four current officers spoke on the pillars respectively: leadership – Michelle Freeman (chapter president); character – Catriona Chew (chapter vice president); scholarship – Julia Noury (chapter secretary); and service – Elliot Garvin (chapter historian).
CHS Principal William Lonergan gave congratulatory remarks and, along with CHS Assistant Principal Michael Perez, distributed pins and certificates to the newest members.
Refreshments were enjoyed following the ceremony.
