Since last week’s summary, the ladies have had three games, well, really two games and two half games.

Wednesday the trip to Bishop Guertin was cut short by rain, stopped in the third inning with no score.  Let’s call that a half game.  Friday’s game at home had them besting Concord 6 to 8, in a see-saw match, which ended in the seventh inning when the Concord batter was called out, when, with the bases loaded, she was out of the batter’s box when she hit the ball.  This was the third out and ended the game. When Exeter came to town on Monday the Alvirne bats were swinging in the first, and when number 6 put one over the fence with the bases loaded ,the score was 0-4.  The Broncos kept moving runners and not allowing the Tide to cross the plate for a 0-10 victory.  Tuesday saw the second half of the Bishop Guertin contest being played across the river.  BG won by one run in the continuation game, but not much is known as of press time.
